This memoir was written in order to present the Safety / Security / Environment organization of maritime companies. We will introduce the legal parts which the company has to comply with, in particular the ISM code chapter 8.3.
We will describe the Safety Management System, including his limits. This work will be based both on a theoretical part such as on the study of real urgencies where we will see the different solutions chosen by the Companies in order to avoid and resolve a crisis.
This will allow getting a global vision of the working of a Safety management System,
starting from a crisis until the improvement of the prevention system through an investigation that points out the reasons of the accident.
